Biography

Han Ho Song received his BS in Mechanical Engineering from Seoul National University in 2003, MSc and PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University in 2005 and 2009, respectively. He was a research engineer at Bosch Research and Technology Center at North America for 2009-10. In 2010, he joined the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Seoul National University as an assistant professor, and became an associate professor in 2014. In 2012, he served as a consultant to Bosch Research and Technology Center at North America. In 2016, he was a visiting professor at Stanford University.

His current research interests include thermodynamic modeling and analysis of energy systems, combustion and fuel in internal combustion engines, chemical reaction kinetics in combustion, and life cycle analysis of the transportation fuels and vehicles.

He received the Rudolph Kalman Best Paper Award from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) in 2013. He is an active member of the Korean Society for Mechanical Engineers (KSME), the Korean Society of Automotive Engineers (KSAE), and the Institute for Liquid Atomization and Spray Systems – Korea (ILASS-Korea). Currently, he is the Editorial Director in KSME, the Editor in Transactions of the KSAE, and the Director in International Affairs in ILASS-Korea.
