Reduced Order Models
Reduced order models are useful in structural dynamics both experimentally and computationally as they offers an efficient way of identifying the principal dynamic properties and expedites the design optimization process where a large number of analysis must be performed under various conditions using the same model. We primarily focus on the development of automated model reduction procedures that determine model parameters in an unsupervised manner such as the number of dominant modes to be included and the number of substructures.
